“Call Home. Call Home!” is an installation and text by Lars Embäck on view at Konsthall Telefon, Maglabyvägen 236–0 in Kvidinge, 24 hours a day from June 1 through July 31, 2026.

"Few people want to stay in their assigned place and fall behind. In yesterday’s society, we called each other from a payphone. Now we use our cell phones and social media. We stay in touch with our loved ones no matter where we are in the world.

How will people do this tomorrow?

The on-site installation allows us to engage with the sentences, rearranged by chance and random choices, to be read in an open dialogue with the viewer. Similarly, the texts and watercolors were also published on social media during the exhibition this summer.

Transformed into random questions or statements, the space surrounding the words is activated into movement and change. Through the depiction of private fragments, the viewer is confronted with their own memories and their own life.
